Frequently Asked Questions:

Below is a list of the most frequent questions we have encountered recently. Please check below to see if the question you have has already been answered. We also have copies of our shipping policies, returns, and terms of service linked to the bottom of our website. 

1. Why are your products more expensive than the ones I can get at big box retailers?

A: Our candles are made of premium soy wax from American-grown soybeans. We also source high quality glassware and components and premium fragrance oils that are free from harmful phthalates and known carcinogens to ensure that you receive a high quality, healthy product. We know that taking these extra steps may require a bigger investment from us as well as our customers, but the benefits are well worth the added cost. 

2. What makes a candle “healthy” and “sustainable?”

A: Soy candles and melts are made from vegetable-based derivatives which are much cleaner and environmentally friendly than the paraffin wax often used in the candles you find in chain stores. If you compare the two, you will notice our soy candles do not produce a layer of soot on their containers and will not turn your wax melters brown. That same residue is what goes into the air when burning a paraffin-based candle. We also use cotton-core wicks that are zinc-free which is also healthier. Even our plastic containers are recyclable and all of our jars can be repurposed. Our linen sprays are made with a natural astringent as well as a phthalate and paraben-free preservative. 

3. Can I purchase private-label candles from you?

A: We’re sorry, but we are not able to accommodate private-label orders at this time, If you are a retailer, we do offer wholesale options. Please check out our wholesale page for more information. 

4. Do you have a store?

A: Feather + Pearl Candles are primarily sold by other brick-and-mortar boutiques and establishments. Customers can make retail purchases directly from our website or through one of our retail vendors. We do not have our own physical retail store at this time. 

5. Your candles don’t look like the candles I bought a few years ago with the same brand name, are there two of them?

A. As part of our move to North Carolina, we underwent a complete branding during our COVID-19 business break. We still offer a lot of our bestselling fragrances but do not have the same containers. We still use the best soy wax and components, but do not have all of the same fragrance options. Check out some of the new, even better blends we’ve made, we are sure you’ll find something you love!

 

6. Do you ship to other countries? 

A: YES! We have shipped to a number of states, and countries, including Canada and Mexico. Extra shipping charges may apply and we are not able to calculate or guarantee shipping times once the packages leave our hands. 

 

7. What about shipping to APO addresses? 

As a veteran-owned business, we are more than happy to send to addresses for our brave service members who are deployed overseas. Additional charges may apply and are calculated at time of checkout, and we cannot guarantee shipping times once the packages leave our hands. Please adhere to shipping policies at the post/base destination as we are not able to track, or issue refunds for any items that are prohibited due to customs and military regulations. (We have never had this issue, just covering our bases.) 

8. I want to purchase a gift for someone but I don’t know what fragrances they like. 

A: We have gift cards for purchase at various price points that can be delivered digitally to you or to the recipient, These have no expiration date and are a great way to share our products with your friends, colleagues and neighbors.
